WINDSOR, Colo. – Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC forward Irvin Parra was named to USL League One Team of the Week for Week 20. This is the tenth consecutive week Northern Colorado has had a player included in Team of the Week.
In the 1-1 draw against Union Omaha on Saturday, Parra was the difference maker that leveled the score in the 79th minute. A deflected ball allowed Trevor Amann a chance to get the ball into the Omaha penalty area. Once in the area, Amann picked out a pass to find Parra near the penalty spot. Parra took the shot on his first touch for his ninth goal of the season, tying him for third-most in the league.
Parra is the second Hailstorm player this season to make five Team of the Weeks, tying Arthur Rogers who reached five last week. Parra’s previous Team of the Weeks came in Week 2, Week 3, Week 5, and Week 13.
