WINDSOR, Colo. – Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC defenders Owen Damm and Arthur Rogers have made the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 22. This is Damm’s first Team of the Week nomination and Rogers’ sixth.
On Saturday evening, the Hailstorm defeated the then first-placed Greenville Triumph SC 2-0 in Greenville, South Carolina. Damm contributed the assist on Jerry Desdunes’ goal. The defender found Desdunes with space on the left side of the Hailstorm attack, giving Desdunes a chance to dribble forward and double Northern Colorado’s lead.
Damm made five tackles, seven clearances, and three interceptions in the shutout victory. Rogers added two tackles, six clearances, and five interceptions. With the team down two defenders due to suspensions, these performances were crucial to the three points earned Saturday.
Rogers now leads the Hailstorm in Team of the Week nominations with six. He was previously on Team of the Week in weeks 13, 15, 16, 18, and 19.
