WINDSOR, Colo. – With only four weeks remaining in the season, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC will take on Union Omaha in a midweek matchup. This match is Omaha’s fourth in 11 days, where they have gone without a win in those first three matches.
Since joining the club midseason, Corey Hertzog has made a difference in the Omaha attack. In nine appearances so far, Hertzog has scored three goals. Tallying a goal every 177 minutes, he leads the team in minutes per goal.
Since August 27, Omaha has lost more games than they had all season until that date. They have conceded 11 in that span, keeping only one clean sheet.
After the club’s first bye week since June, Northern Colorado is ready to make their final push for the playoffs. Currently tied for the fourth-best goal difference, the Hailstorm are the only team outside the playoff picture with a positive goal difference.
