WINDSOR, Colo. – Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC defender Brecc Evans has been named the USL League One Player of the Week for Week 26. This is his first Player of the Week honor this season.
Evans scored both Hailstorm goals in the 2-1 win over Union Omaha on September 21. The first goal came from 34-yards out. The shot stayed low to the ground with enough pace to beat the keeper. The second goal came late in the game on a corner kick from Arthur Rogers. Evans out-jumped an Omaha defender for the ball, heading in the game-winner to secure the brace. In the match, he added two tackles, two clearances, and an interception.
Evans contributed more in the one-one draw with Greenville Triumph on September 24. The defender created one chance for his side in addition to three interceptions, a clearance, and a tackle.
