WINDSOR, Colo. – With only one week left in the USL League One season, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC can still find themselves in the playoff picture. The Hailstorm are currently in fifth place, but they will need a little help in Week 29 during their bye week in order to secure a playoff spot in their inaugural season.
Northern Colorado needs one of the following outcomes to lock in playoff soccer:
- Charlotte Independence loses to or draws with North Carolina FC
- South Georgia Tormenta FC loses to Chattanooga Red Wolves SC
If one of those outcomes occurs, the Hailstorm will make the playoffs as the 6-seed team. If both happen, the team will remain the 5-seed.
All the USL League One action today is available to watch on ESPN+.
The future home of Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC, 118-acre Future Legends Complex will feature a 6,500-seat TicketSmarter Stadium, 2,500-seat Future Legends Field, multiple baseball diamonds, multi-purpose fields, an indoor sports arena, lodging, and retail; and will host guests for major sports tournaments, events, leagues, and more.
