WINDSOR, Colo. – Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC announced today that they have picked up the option on forward Trevor Amann’s contract to bring him back for the 2023 season.
The Westminster, Colo. native had an impressive first year playing professionally. He played in 25 of the team’s 30 League One matches, starting in 19 of those. In that time he scored five goals, including the club’s first-ever hat trick in the game against North Carolina on Sept. 3.
“I’m really excited to stay here another year,” Amann said. “My family is down the road and I’m able to share this journey with them. I can’t wait to get started and see what this team can accomplish over the course of this next year.”
Head Coach Eamon Zayed has high hopes for Amann, hoping to develop him into a reliable goal scorer for the club.
“Rookie season, five goals. Not a bad start,” Zayed said. “Can he push on, can he become that 10-plus striker? That’s going to be the challenge for him.
“But he’s another local boy, another Colorado native, which we’re delighted to have on board.”
