WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC’s 2-1 win over One Knoxville SC on Saturday earned four players spots in USL League One’s Team of the Week.
Hailstorm forward Trevor Amann was named in the Team of the Week for the second straight game after tallying a goal and an assist against Knoxville. That performance followed up a Team of the Week performance for Amann against Union Omaha in which he scored both goals in a 3-2 Hailstorm loss.
Joining Amann in making their second Team of the Week this season are defenders Arthur Rogers and Rob Cornwall. Rogers got his second assist of the season on Amann’s goal and created three chances, while Cornwall had three clearances and two interceptions on the defensive end and put a pair of shots on target as well.
In addition to the three Hailstorm players in their second Team of the Week, forward Billy King made his first USL League One Team of the Week after scoring his first Hailstorm goal in the win at Knoxville.
Hailstorm FC will look for their second consecutive win on Thursday when they travel to take on Forward Madison FC, kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Mountain time.
