WINDSOR, Colo. — After opening Future Legends Field in style with a 4-1 win over Central Valley Fuego FC, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC had four players named in the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 11.
Forward Trevor Amann earned Team of the Week honors for the third consecutive week and fourth consecutive Hailstorm game. For the third time in those four games he scored a brace, with both goals coming in the first half, including Northern Colorado’s first successful penalty of the season. Amann now leads the USL League One Golden Boot race and is the all-time leading scorer in Hailstorm history.
Amann was not the only Hailstorm forward in the Team of the Week as Billy King earned the honor for the second time this season. King scored his second goal of the season and assisted on Jackson Dietrich’s opener. He also won the penalty that Amann converted.
Also making his second Team of the Week was defender Bruno Rendon, who was immense in the Hailstorm back line with 11 duels won, six tackles won and three clearances against Fuego. He also created a chance and made 14 recoveries.
Rounding out the Hailstorm quartet in the Team of the Week was goalkeeper Lalo Delgado, who earned his second straight selection and third overall by making six saves and only conceding from a late Villyan Bijev penalty.
