WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC has announced today that they have extended the contract of defender Noah Powder for the rest of the 2023 season, pending league and federation approval.
“It’s great to finally get pencil on paper and be here for the rest of the season,” Powder said.
Powder, a 24-year-old Trinidad & Tobago international, played three times for Hailstorm FC during his short-term deal with the club, starting at left back in Northern Colorado’s 1-0 win over Central Valley Fuego FC on June 24.
“Most of the guys really like him and he’s fit into the group really well, that for me is just as important as his ability on the pitch,” Hailstorm head coach Éamon Zayed said.
So far in his brief Hailstorm career he has won five duels, created a chance, and put a shot on target in 81 minutes of play.
Powder and Hailstorm FC will be back in action at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Charlotte Independence at Future Legends Field.
