WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC forward Trevor Amann has been named the USL League One Player of the Week for Week 17.
It is the second Player of the Week honor of his career.
Amann scored three goals in two matches during the week, helping Hailstorm FC secure a win over Charlotte Independence and a draw against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC. The three goals kept Amann in the lead in the USL League One Golden Boot race and tied him with Irvin Parra for Hailstorm’s single-season record.
The week for Amann started with his fourth brace of the season against Charlotte at Future Legends Field. He scored a penalty late in the first half to tie the game at 2-2 and headed home the winner from a corner in the 70th minute.
His follow up to the performance against Charlotte was scoring Hailstorm’s only goal in a 1-1 draw at Chattanooga, getting on the end of a cutback from Valentín Sabella to slot home his 11th goal of the season.
Amann will look to build on his Player of the Week performance tonight when Hailstorm travel to One Knoxville SC for a scheduled 5:30 p.m. Mountain time kick off. The game against Knoxville will be streamed live on ESPN+.
