WINDSOR, Colo. — After picking up six points in two matches and moving to the top of the USL League One table, four Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC players were named in the league’s Team of the Week for Week 18.
Defender Arthur Rogers made the Team of the Week for the sixth time this season and won Player of the Week honors for the first time in his Hailstorm career on the back of a three-assist performance in Hailstorm’s 4-2 victory over One Knoxville SC. He also created four chances in the two matches, giving him a league-leading 41 for the season.
Last week’s USL League One Player of the Week Trevor Amann made the Team of the Week for the seventh time in 2023. Amann scored three goals in the two matches, netting the opener against Knoxville and scoring both of Hailstorm’s goals in their 2-0 win over Union Omaha.
After scoring his first brace in blue and white against Knoxville, defender Bruno Rendon is in the Team of the Week for the second straight week. In addition to his brace against Knoxville, he also assisted Billy King’s goal in the match. Rendon also won 19 duels in the two matches.
King is the fourth Hailstorm FC player in the Team of the Week after scoring the team’s fourth goal against Knoxville and assisting the second against Omaha. King’s screamer against Knoxville is also up for USL League One Goal of the Week, voting is currently live.
Hailstorm FC is back in action Saturday against the Richmond Kickers at Future Legends Field, kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
