WINDSOR, Colo. — A pair of one-goal wins on Wednesday and Sunday netted Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC four players in the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 26.
Defender Arthur Rogers is in the Team of the Week for the eighth time this season. He started both matches this week, playing all 180 minutes and scoring his first goal of the season against Lexington SC on Wednesday. He also won 10 duels and created four chances, moving to within eight chances created of breaking his own single-season league record.
Lucky Opara also represents the Hailstorm defense in the Team of the Week, his sixth selection this season. Opara assisted Rob Cornwall’s match-winning goal against South Georgia Tormenta FC, his fifth assist of the season. He also created five chances and won seven duels in the two matches.
With a goal and assist against Lexington, midfielder Marky Hernández makes his second Team of the Week this season, and third in his Hailstorm career. He also won 13 duels and five tackles in the course of the week.
Fellow Hailstorm midfielder Danny Robles rounds out the Team of the Week honors for Hailstorm with the first of his career. Robles marked his 100th professional appearance Sunday with his first Hailstorm goal of the season.
All four players will be back in action Saturday when Hailstorm FC travels to take on Central Valley Fuego FC. The match can be watched live on ESPN+.
