WINDSOR, Colo. — With a 2-0 win over Central Valley Fuego FC, their fifth straight, on Saturday, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC earned two spots in the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 27.
Goalkeeper Lalo Delgado earned his first Player of the Week honor in a Hailstorm shirt, also making the Team of the Week for the seventh time this season. He kept his 10th clean sheet of the season, making six saves, including a penalty save for the third time this season. He also had a pair of clearances in the win.
“I don’t usually call out players,” Hailstorm head coach Éamon Zayed said. “But I did call him out in the dressing room after the game because he was outstanding.”
Also in the Team of the Week is Hailstorm defender Arthur Rogers, for the ninth time this season and third time in the last four weeks. He created three chances from his center back position on Saturday, winning three duels and a pair of tackles.
Delgado, Rogers, and Hailstorm FC will be back on the pitch Wednesday at Forward Madison FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Mountain time and the match can be watched live on ESPN+.
