WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC midfielder Noah Powder has been called up by the Trinidad and Tobago national team for 2023-24 CONCACAF Nations League A matches against Guatemala and Curacao on October 13 and 17.
“It’s a testament to his hard work, his dedication, his hunger,” Hailstorm FC head coach Éamon Zayed said.
Powder last made an appearance for his country as a substitute in a 1-1 draw against Nicaragua in March. He has played 16 matches for his country, scoring a brace in a 4-1 win against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in June 2022.
Since joining Hailstorm in June, Powder has scored three goals and recorded five assists in 18 matches. His most recent goal came this past Saturday against Forward Madison FC, a direct free kick to put Hailstorm on top. He was also named USL League One Player of the Week for Week 25 of the season and made the Team of the Week in Week 28.
While away on international duty, Powder will miss Hailstorm’s regular season finale against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Saturday, but Zayed said he expects Powder to be available for a potential playoff match on October 21.
