WINDSOR, Colo. – Northern Colorado Hailstorm defender Arthur Rogers has won USL League One’s Golden Playmaker award for 2023, given to the league’s assist leader.
“I’m obviously very proud and very thankful, it’s a big credit to my teammates,” Rogers said.
Rogers tied the USL League One assist record with 11 assists this season, beating out Union Omaha’s Luis Gil, who finished the season with nine assists. Rogers’ 11 assists this season brought his career total to 20, the most all-time in USL League One.
The 2022 USL League One Defender of the Year will likely be in contention for that honor again, given that he set a single-season record with 88 chances created.
“I’m sure he’ll be up for MVP, and it’s well deserved,” Hailstorm head coach Éamon Zayed said.
Rogers will be back in action when Hailstorm host their first-ever playoff match Saturday against Forward Madison FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Future Legends Field.
