WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC announce that defender Lucky Opara has been re-signed to a multi-year deal, pending League and Federation approval.
Opara played in 33 matches for Hailstorm in all competitions in 2023, starting 30 of them in his first season with the club.
“He’s been phenomenal for us, really standout, for me the best left back in the league this year,” Hailstorm head coach Éamon Zayed said.
From his left back spot, Opara scored three goals and was tied for second on the team with five assists in 2023. He logged a brace against Union Omaha on August 12.
Opara will look to build on a successful 2023 campaign both individually and as a team in 2024.
“I love it here in Colorado and feel like there is still a lot left to accomplish,” Opara said.
