WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC has exercised an option in the contract of midfielder Enock Kwakwa that will see him return to the club in 2024.
Kwakwa played in 24 matches for Hailstorm in 2023, starting 21 of them, despite missing a month of the season with a foot injury that also limited him to just 215 minutes in five matches at the tail end of the season.
“Enock picking up that injury hurt us going into those playoff games,” Hailstorm head coach Éamon Zayed said.
Despite playing in just 21 regular season matches, Kwakwa was among the team leaders in both interceptions with 18 and tackles won with 30.
He will look to continue as a key part of the Hailstorm midfield as he returns to the club for 2024.
“I’m delighted to have Enock back. He’s a great team player and he’ll be big for us next year,” Zayed said.
