WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC announce that midfielder Patrick Langlois has been signed for 2024, pending League and Federation approval.
Langlois, a 24-year-old, comes to Hailstorm from South Melbourne FC in the second tier of the Australian soccer pyramid. In two seasons with South Melbourne he scored 18 goals in 56 matches.
“Our assistant coach Colin Falvey actually has some contacts in Australia that brought Patrick to his attention. He’s got bags of energy, loves to make runs from midfield and score goals,” Hailstorm head coach Éamon Zayed said.
A native of San Diego, Langlois has played his entire career in Australia so far, making his professional debut with the A-League’s Newcastle Jets in 2019. He made seven appearances for the Australian top-flight club before moving to Hume City FC, another second-tier club, in 2021.
After playing five seasons with three clubs in Australia, Langlois will now return to the nation of his birth with Hailstorm in 2024.
“The professionalism, coaching staff and style of football Hailstorm played last year; I want to be part of something special,” Langlois said.
