WINDSOR, Colo. — A trio of Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC players have been named in the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 7 following the team’s 1-1 draw against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
Forward Ethan Hoard was named in the Team of the Week for the first time in his career after scoring the Hailstorm’s 99th minute equalizer against Chattanooga. He also won eight duels, completed four dribbles, and had three shots in the match.
Joining Hoard in the Team of the Week are a pair of Hailstorm players making their second Teams of the Week this season.
Defender Bruno Rendon, a second team all-League performer in 2023, was named in his second Team of the Week in 2024 after winning five duels and a pair of tackles while completing 93 percent of his passes.
Midfielder Chelo Martinez also earned a Team of the Week nod despite not starting the match for Hailstorm. He came off the bench in the 66th minute and created three chances, including assisting Hoard’s goal. He also blocked a shot and completed more than 90 percent of his passes.
Hailstorm will be off this weekend before kicking off their Jägermeister Cup campaign at Union Omaha on May 1.
