WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC will travel to Madison on Saturday to take on Forward Madison FC for the first time in 2024 in a USL League One match.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams since Hailstorm knocked FMFC out of the USL League One playoffs in 2023 with a 4-1 win in Windsor.
Forward Madison are one of three teams tied atop the USL League One table with 22 points and have lost just once in 11 league matches. The ‘Mingos are led by forward Christian Chaney, who has five goals and two assists in 10 league appearances this season.
After being shut out in back-to-back matches, Hailstorm found their goal-scoring form again last week, with Billy King and Brecc Evans getting on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win over Union Omaha in USL Jägermeister Cup play.
Hailstorm are unbeaten in their last four matchups with Madison, taking home three wins and a draw in that stretch.
Northern Colorado and Forward Madison will kick off at 6 p.m. Mountain time Saturday at Breeze Stevens Field in Madison, Wis. The match can be streamed live on ESPN+.
