WINDSOR, Colo. — For the first, and only, time this season, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC will welcome the Richmond Kickers to 4Rivers Equipment Stadium for a USL League One match on Saturday.
Hailstorm have won each of their last three matches against Richmond, including a 2-0 win earlier this season. They are undefeated against the Kickers since 2022.
Northern Colorado comes into the match having won back-to-back matches against Union Omaha and Forward Madison FC, keeping clean sheets both times.
“As long as we keep those clean sheets, I know offensively we’re going to score,” Hailstorm midfielder Jackson Dietrich said.
Hailstorm head coach Éamon Zayed said he is aware of the threat Richmond pose, especially on set pieces.
“They like to throw everything into the box so we’ll have to be on our toes in terms of set pieces and crosses,” Zayed said.
