WINDSOR, Colo. — After the biggest league win in club history, a 5-1 victory over Lexington SC, four Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC players have been named in the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 19.
Headlining the group is forward Billy King, who was named in the Team of the Week for the third time this season. King scored a brace against Lexington on Saturday, including the match-winning goal in the 20th minute and a Goal of the Week contender in the 57th minute.
Bruno Rendon was named in the Team of the Week for the ninth time this season after scoring Hailstorm’s opener in the sixth minute, bringing his goal tally to 12 in all competitions this season. Rendon also won 10 duels and created three chances in the win.
Defender Lucky Opara made his fifth Team of the Week in 2024 after assisting on Rendon’s opener and scoring a goal of his own in the 62nd minute. He also contributed defensively with four duels won and four interceptions.
