WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC goalkeeper Lalo Delgado has been named USL League One’s Player of the Month for October.
Delgado is the third player in Hailstorm history to win Player of the Month honors, following forward Ethan Hoard, who won the award in August, and forward Trevor Amann, the Player of the Month in May 2023.
He is also the first goalkeeper to win a USL League One Player of the Month award since Greenville Triumph SC’s Dallas Jaye won the award in August 2019.
Delgado kept four clean sheets in October, allowing just one goal in five matches, all of which were Hailstorm wins. He made 21 saves in those five matches, becoming the first goalkeeper in league history to make more than 20 saves and allow one or fewer goals in a month.
For the season, Delgado’s nine clean sheets tied for first in USL League One, while his 0.82 goals against average tied for second.
