WINDSOR, Colo. — Unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC travel to take on the Richmond Kickers for the first time in 2024.
“We haven’t gone down to Richmond and beaten them yet,” Hailstorm FC head coach Éamon Zayed said. “It’s a tough, tough place to go, Richmond, so I expect a tough game.”
Hailstorm have won each of their last two USL League One matches, taking home 2-1 victories against Union Omaha and One Knoxville SC.
“Overall I think we’re playing really well. We’ll have to keep the intensity without the ball and play to our strengths to keep that going,” Hailstorm defender Johnny Fenwick said.
Hailstorm have scored 17 goals in their last six matches, with seven of them coming for Bruno Rendon, who has scored in six straight matches and leads the team in goals.
“He’s in a rich vein of form right now. Everything he hits, or even hits off of him, is going in at the moment,” Zayed said.
Rendon will look to continue his run of form when Hailstorm take on Richmond at 5 p.m. Saturday at City Stadium. The match can be streamed live on ESPN+.
